This is the ultimate US muscle vs import race and it is so awesome you will start to question everything you know about the Supra and about the Chevrolet Silverado that the famous Japanese car is racing against. Of course, both cars are radically tuned and improved compared with the stock versions. After all the improvements the Supra has an engine developing 1500hp and the Silverado has 1600hp. While such a difference should make these two cars absolutely comparable in every possible way on the track, it seems that the power churned out by the engine is not the only factor at play here.
The Silverado is a bit bigger, has worse aerodynamics and it is not really a sports car. However, it is not for nothing that they call it the Red Dragon. It can go really fast. On the other hand, the 2Jz engine in the Supra is capable enough to propel the Japanese import to some insane speeds, yet, it is not enough to trash the Silverado.
