Commercial transparency

Affiliate Disclosure

Some future Carnimal links may earn a commission when a reader clicks and completes a qualifying purchase or action.

What an affiliate relationship means

If Carnimal links to a merchant through an affiliate program, the merchant or network may attribute a later qualifying transaction to Carnimal and pay a commission. The reader should not pay a higher price solely because the tracked link was used, although merchant prices, availability, tax, currency conversion, and terms can change.

How disclosures appear

A plain-language disclosure is placed close to relevant recommendations and links so a reader can understand the commercial relationship before acting. A footer page alone is not treated as sufficient disclosure for an affiliate recommendation.

Editorial decisions

A commission does not purchase a positive verdict. Carnimal aims to explain important drawbacks, suitable alternatives, the market and currency being discussed, and whether a product was tested, researched, supplied, discounted, or sponsored.

Owned products

The Carnimal Performance Car Ownership Toolkit is an owned digital product sold and delivered through Gumroad. Links to that product are commercial calls to action, not affiliate links. Its scope, limitations, licence, price, checkout provider, and refund information are presented on the product and checkout pages.
