How Carnimal publishes

Editorial Policy

Carnimal aims to make automotive guidance useful, transparent, proportionate to the evidence, and easy to correct.

Research and sources

Current specifications, prices, rules, safety information, warranties, and legal requirements are checked against suitable primary or authoritative sources before publication. Sources are linked or identified when they materially support a conclusion.

Testing, experience, and opinion

Carnimal distinguishes hands-on testing from desk research, manufacturer information, expert contribution, and editorial opinion. A product is not described as tested when it was not personally used. Free products, travel, event access, sponsorship, or another material relationship must be disclosed with the relevant content.

Commercial independence

Affiliate availability or commission can help determine which useful commercial topics are practical to maintain, but it does not determine factual conclusions or guarantee inclusion. Advertisers and merchants do not receive undisclosed editorial approval or the right to suppress a material criticism.

Software and AI assistance

Software, including AI-assisted tools, may support research organisation, drafting, editing, data checks, image production, or document production. Carnimal remains responsible for reviewing published claims, limitations, disclosures, and customer-facing files. Generated facts, specifications, prices, legal claims, and safety advice are not published without current verification.

Updates and safety boundaries

Substantial updates should be identified separately from the original publication date. Minor copy edits do not justify presenting an old article as newly published.

A Carnimal article, checklist, planner, or calculator does not certify a vehicle, replace a qualified mechanic or other professional, or override current manufacturer, organiser, venue, insurer, and government requirements.
