This is the fastest lancer ever built by Mitsubishi, The Evo X FQ 400. Compared to its rival on the rally world, the Subaru Impreza, the FQ 400 is much sharper, focused and better looking. Mitsubishi placed a 2.0 liter turbocharged MIVEC engine (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic). This monster produces 403 bhp and bring 387lb ft of torque and can reach 0-100 kph in a staggering 3.8 sec. Intriguing thing about the engine is that it is tamed to do an electronically limited speed of 250 kph. Mitsubishi also placed the S-AWC (Super-All Wheel Control) system to improve its traction and grip and being born from the rally world, the car handles superbly even on cross-country driving.
The downside of the FQ 400 is that the gear box only has a five speed ratio and you have to do a long throw shift when changing gears and with the power it has under the hood, making those smooth changes is not as easy as it looks. Price is also one of the biggest upset on this car with the competition getting better around Mitsubishi; you can get a reasonably priced car with the same amenities of the Evo FQ400. The finale… You have to be an Evo Fanatic to get the FQ 400
