Ford will not be left out from the band wagon of electric cars. The Chevy Volt and Nissan Leaf have a new competitor and it’s the Ford Focus Electric. This will be the company’s flagship for a whole new growing market.
The Focus received a standard body kit to lessen drag while receiving a stunning new front fascia which seems to be taken from an Aston Martin. The other revision to its body is a LED ring right in front of the driver’s doors signaling its charging port. This electric Focus stands on a 17 inch 15 spoke aluminum wheel which are wrapped in low resistance tires.
This electric car is introduced to crush its rivals. This can be charged using a wall mounted charge station which can be plugged into an ordinary 240V socket rather than getting a charger hardwired to your house’s breaker box. Charging will only just take 3-4 hours which is half the time comparing it to its competitors.
The power terrain of the Electric Focus is a 23 kWh lithium ion batteries which is mounted on its rear capable of giving out 134 bhp. This can take you 160 km in one full charge and can reach a top speed of 140 km/h.
