The Bugatti Veyron ceased to exist after the last unit – La Finale had been sold a few months ago. However, to keep all the world on its tiptoes, at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show Bugatti unveiled its most outrageous vehicle of all time – the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo. While it is made to celebrate the involvement of Bugatti in the Gran Turismo game franchise, the car is actually showing us the path the company will take with their next car.
This awesome creation definitely made us think about the possibilities of creation of a Bugatti race car. It definitely has all the bells and whistles to be a Veyron based race car with all this aggressiveness, massive aero kit and dramatically restyled front end. It has gills, aero hardware, insanely aggressive face, large spoiler and monstrous appearance only comparable with the best of the best Le Mans prototypes. Do we like it!? Yes! More important than that is the fact that the Vision Gran Turismo will influence the newest Bugatti Chiron. It basically represents all the modern features the Chiron will receive when they release it.
Revealing the car at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Bugatti definitely enticed some enthusiasm in the car community. Of course, only a handful of people will be able to buy it and drive it, but the car industry as a whole wouldn’t be complete without something as advanced as the new Bugatti will definitely be.
As for the Vision Gran Turismo, we know this Bugatti received a central gill all over his body honouring the legendary Bugatti Atlantic car from the Thirties. We aren’t certain whether the new Chiron will get the same, but the Chiron will definitely be as aggressive as this one. As for the propulsion system, the Vision Gran Turismo continues to use the massive W16 engine with 8 liter capacity. We do not know what the output of the engine is, but it is definitely more than 1.000 HP. Furthermore, the weight has been lowered considerably. New interior, less insulating material and removal of almost all creature comforts resulted in the lowest possible weight. It is going to be a blast to drive this one on the track.
