Audi has one tough sedan out in the open…it’s the Audi A8 L High Security. This is built to give optimum protection and specifically built for head of states or dignitaries. This sturdy monster was deliberately made to look like a standard Audi A8 L to hide its strength from a common car. The security of this sedan boasts polycarbonate coated multilayer glass, hot formed armor steel, heaps of aramide fabric and reinforced side sills.
The interior armor alone weighs 720 kilograms or equivalent to 1587 lbs! This car is a certified VR 7 class ballistic protection and this means that it can resist bullets of high caliber firearm like the AK 47 and up to the disastrous blast of hand grenades.
The A8 L High Security is not just built to withstand the unforgiving conditions of war but also has the amenities of a luxury car. This comes with a Bose audio system, a four zone climate control, 2 individual rear seats that adjust to your own preference and a TV tuner. A long line up of option can be ordered which depends on the customer’s choice is available like a relaxation seat, refrigerator or a rear seat entertainment.
At its introduction to the market this will be powered by an exclusive 6.3 liter W12 engine that is capable of producing 494 bhp with 461 lb ft of torque. This will blast from 0-100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 210 km/h.
