The Ford Shelby GT500 is an upscale version of the Mustang. The GT 500 has more tremendous power under the hood thus giving a wider smile to a speed thirsty man. The car looks chunky and muscular and this goes true up to the engine. Ford stayed with 60’s design on the GT500 and the cabin will give you a retro feel especially with its dashboard-imitating the design of the first Mustangs. An old school cue ball is also designed as a gear knob and aluminum trim is placed on the steering wheel all the way through the dashboard to give it an old look. The GT 500 comes as a 4 seater coupe or convertible and one cool fact about the coupe is that its rear seats folds down giving larger cargo capacity.
The Shelby GT 500 is a rear wheel drive madness and it is powered by a 5.4 liter supercharged V8 engine that can give out an enormous 540bhp and 510 lb ft of torque. The GT500 can gun down from 0-60 mph in just 4.3 seconds. The engine only comes with a six speed manual transmission and all four corners are handled by Brembo disc brakes. The car is also tweaked to be good in corners and it performs well on curvy roads, unlike its 2009 predecessor which you have to muscle your way through. The Ford Shelby GT500 can always stand up to its name as an all American Muscle car.
