When you don’t know what to do with your life only one thing remains to be done – install iPhone 4S as brake pads on your Porsche 911 and see how capable are they in stopping the sportscar from 60 mph. Really, anyone who thought of doing this has some serious issues. Imagine sitting on a couch and thinking about testing how iPhone 4s would work as a brake pad!? Why?
Although we cannot think of a reason why, a fact is that iPhones were used as brake pads and the results are somewhat expected.
Slowing down from 20 mh was possible, although the driver reported that the brakes were somewhat spongy. Braking from 40 mph to zero was much more interesting and dangerous. The iPhones caught fire and a fire extinguisher had to be used. At this instance the driver was really nervous. The run from 60 mph to 0 was the longest one. iPhones were barely breaking at all and the driver had to use emergency brake. Luckily, he stopped in time and the vehicle was fitted with real brakes.
All in all, iPhones aren’t exactly good brake pads. We guess you’d be better of with a Nokia. Especially that old hero the 3310.
