For all of us who like the GT-R R32 a lot, this video may be a sad sight, yet, in some strange way it fills us with joy of seeing a car cover the ⅛ of a mile and cloak an exit speed of 171,18 mph. This one does not come from the US, but from Qatar where the tuning scene and whole culture gathered around drag racing is getting insane in latest years.
Tuned by Get Boost Garage, the Nissan Skyline GT-R is prepared to go against the Ekanoo Racing ⅛ of a mile record and at their latest run Get Boost Garage was just 0,03 seconds short of them.
In preparing the Nissan GT-R to tackle the racing strip Get Boost Garage did the unthinkable – they removed the stock RB engine from the car and installed a 2JZ. For all of you who do not know your stuff about engines, 2JZ is the engine used in the Toyota Supra and it is certainly one of the most highly praised engines in the world since, ever. The three-liter engine walked through extensive modifications and received 94-millimeter turbochargers and a lot of Nitro shoots. The end result is an engine good for 1.600 hp all of which are feed to the rear wheels. The video clearly shows how intense and epicly vulgar this car is as it cloaks the time of 4.357s at the strip.
As it turns out, the turbocharger can give a whole lot more boost too. Who knows, Get Boost Garage could actually slash the Ekanoo Racing record in a week or two.
