Imagine coming to work in the morning and noticing that all cars on the parking lot had its wheels nicked. Something similar happened in Texas, but not on an ordinary parking lot, but on the official Chevrolet dealer parking lot which was full of new cars.
Thieves apparently started their operation at 01.00 AM. They came with a large truck, but the police did not figure out how many of them were there or which truck was used as the footage was of low quality.
In total, thieves stole 48 sets of wheels and, as you may imagine, they aimed to steal the biggest wheels. That means – 20-22 inch wheels with tires were stolen from Chevy cars like the Camaro, the Silverado and other.
We are not sure if anyone will find the stolen stuff or wheels, but we are sure that the owner of the Peltier Chevrolet in Tyler, Texas is not happy.
48 sets of tires and wheels cost close to $250,000. That is too much.
The group of thieves is, apparently, highly organized as WFAA ABC 8 reported after the heist.
Something similar happened a few months ago when a whole lot of cars was stripped of their wheels.
