Even though the Nurburgring track can barely cover its own expenses, it seems that the track works at full swing. Many drivers go there to learn how to drive and it seems the Green hell is the best place for manufacturers to tune their cars to perfection. Some time before a very influential figure from the car world said that the Nurburgring is the best place for car development (see here why). The conditions on the track are not perfect and that is exactly what manufacturers need, because conditions on the roads aren’t perfect as well. However, the track is closed for private teams only in special occasions, on other days owners of the best cars in Germany (and the world to be precise), come there to try their beasts out.
Here, in this video you can see a ten minute race in a really fast (and we mean really fast) Golf Mk2 whose driver was capable enough to keep up with a supercharged Ariel Atom and he was even able to overtake some of the fastest European sports cars such as the Ferrari F430, the Porsche 911, some Audis, Beemers and other German stuff.
If you ever wondered how is it out there on the Green Hell, than this is your opportunity to take a peek and enjoy.
