While we revealed all the video series Ford published about the development of the magnificent Focus RS, now we finally have the chance to enjoy a review of the car and by none other than Carthrottle. A short review was created during their press drive and some of the aspects of the car are definitely worth knowing.
As for the first surprising fact, you can fist the Ford Focus RS. No, really, you can. The exhaust is that wide.
Driving the car in Valencia, Alex Carsten from Carthrottle did many great things with it including drifting, driving rather fast and giving it a whole lot of speed on the track.
It seems that the Focus RS is astonishingly easy to drive which was the main reason it got all that electronic and four-wheel drive system. And not only that it is easy to drive it fast, but the car seems to accelerate so vividly that you have to actually rewire your brain and grow on it before driving it at its absolute limit. This is a grip monster with the 2.3L EcoBoost engine powerful enough to launch the Focus RS to 60 in 4,7 seconds. Now, that is sick. Another sick thing is the four wheel drive system specially designed to grapple with the track, with the drift and ultimately with all the normal road conditions can throw at it. With a special electronic system, the four-wheel drive can adjust itself in milliseconds.
Regardless, the Ford Focus RS is such a fun machine full of excitement, epic sounding engine and astonishing driving capabilities. This is a car built by gearheads for gearheads
