The Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang is on the road. They’ve unveiled it today and it looks absolutely stunning. With more aggressive stance made possible due to the installation of lower front splitter and a bit wider tracks, the Mustang GT350 certainly echoes those hell-of-a-car Mustangs from the past. This one is really special. It features a wonderful naturally aspirated unit developing somewhere around 500 HP. It is not the Hellcat type of power, but it is more than enough to make your ears bleed and eyeballs move while accelerating.
The Shelby Mustang GT350 goes way back to the Sixties and the Seventies. As one of the most important muscle cars that have ever lived, this new version brought a six speed manual tranny and a limited slip diff even for the entry version. 19 inch tires caring Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires move this amazing vehicle towards the epitome of a track car. Ford knows that many enthusiasts are going to use it on a track, so they’ve even offered a special Track Pack which is good for engine oil and transmission oil cooler, enormous Brembo brakes and even an aluminum hood and carbon fiber front grill. Therefore, this Mustang is leaner and meaner than any before it.
Unfortunately, we are not acquainted with the performance figures for this car but we would not be wrong if we said that this Mustang can accelerate to 60 in less than 4 sec. That is the speed this musclecar is aiming for and it will certainly reach it with the right driver and right gear.
All in all, when someone buys and sits in this car, he/she will know what this car is all about. With special Recaro seats, new instrument cluster and lack of shiny surfaces, the sporty character of the car is in the forefront of this car. We are impatient to see it on the track.
