Honda gave a preview of what is to come in 2012. They introduced at the recent Detroit Auto Show the 2012 Honda Civic Si Concept Coupe. It is a thing of beauty offering an aggressive stance, its body shows more edgy creases and the stock creation is just drooling.
It is still expected for the Civic to score well on the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety2 and the government’s New Car Assessment Program. This is because the 2001 Honda Civic coupe was the first two seater to earn the government’s top 5 star rating for crash safety and this has been the trend for Civic ever since. For added features all Civics are now equipped with VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist) and this comes as a standard to the car.
The powertrain is also given different treatments to suit everyone’s driving needs. They are looking for their creation to be more fuel efficient and equipped with top notch technology like the Intelligent Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control. The 2012 Civic will also be the first in the U.S. to use Eco Assist technology in a petrol only powered car.
Eco Assist technology is another example of how the new civic can be customized by each driver to suit their individual preferences.
