The Mini Countryman will be back on the tracks to prove that this little monster has true power under the hood. The Mini is set to have its comeback at the international rally circuit of the FIA World Rally Championship.
Don’t be stunned if this is a “comeback”, in the 60’s one of the toughest motorsport event is the 4000km Monte Carlo rally. This tiny car was able to grab first prize beating large V8 powered Fords. Next season they are back to reclaim their old glory on the race tracks and they will recapture the imagination of the people where it once held an image of “David and Goliath”
Prodrive is the company in charge in producing this little monster and they are working in close cooperation with this iconic car company. The powerplant of their WRC model is a turbo charged 1.6 liter 4 cylinder engine from BMW Motorsport.
One thing that we’re sure as of now, this rally car from Mini is one stunning creation. As the saying goes, “Great things comes in small packages” and one good thing about the 2011 MINI WRC is that it will be in production.
