Salomondrin waited for quite a long time to drag race the Rimac Concept One and the Porsche 918 Spyder. Both cars are quite extraordinary and rare, so it was not actually easy to get the two at the same time at the same place. Luckily for Salomondrin, Rimac founder Mate Rimac was more than willing to put his Rimac Concept_One in a race against Salomondrin’s Porsche 918 Spyder and the results are out. Believe us, the race is quite extraordinary as the Porsche 918 Spyder was far more in line with the Rimac than the LaFerrari was in its race against the car.
Nevertheless, the differences between the two are large. First of all, the 918 Spyder is a hybrid with 887 hp propulsion system. On the other hand, the Rimac Concept_One is an electric car with an engine producing freaking 1,080hp and a *hitload of torque. Both have all-wheel drive, but the Porsche is a few hundred lbs lighter.
Now, some tested the Porsche before for its best 0-60 mph time and best quarter of a mile pass. Under right conditions, this thing can hit 60 mph in 2.2 seconds and slash a quarter of a mile in 9.8 seconds. When Salomondrin drove it, it was close. The Porsche slashed the drag race in less than 10 seconds. However, you will have to press play and see how did it stack against the Rimac Concept_One. Bear in mind this EV destroyed the LaFerrari in a similar race. The Porsche was faster than the Ferrari, but was it fast enough?
