Evo Leaderboard “competition” puts the best supercars on the track, compares them and showcases lap times the cars achieve around the Anglesey Circuit. This is a motor racing venue located in Ty Croes, Anglesey, Wales. There, Evo Magazine track tests all the cars that are worth of such testing and the last one of them is the McLaren 675LT.
This is a track-focused road-going monster built around the same chassis and the same architecture as the bit tamer 650S. Nevertheless, McLaren is persistent in claiming that the 675LT is actually 60 percent new and according to the excitement our host showed while driving, and the lap time set, we do not even doubt that.
Here, the 675LT had to be faster than just about anything. Apart from sports cars such as the 911 Turbo S and supercars such as the P1 and the 918 Spyder, at the top of the leaderboard sits Radical – practically a racing car.
We will not tell you the time the 675LT set, but we will say the thing is bloody fast and exceptionally fun. Evo host got new tires for the time attack and what is exceptionally amazing is that the 675LT was really close to the top. So close in fact that we are not sure is the P1’s price premium even justified. Enjoy.
