Jeremy Clarkson, the famous Top Gear presenter said, on the occasion of reviewing the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, that that car does not need the power its engine provides. For those who don’t know, that chap is all about power and HPs and he said that the Ferrari F12 is too powerful. Thankfully, Ferrari did not listen so they’ve continued to produce the 740 HP modern monsters which was, for a brief time, the most powerful Ferrari of all times.
Even though the Top Gear presenter did not want all of that power, there are people who would like to have more. Thankfully, there are a few very specialized tuners that have enough money to buy a Ferrari and tune it. One of them is PP Performance which is famous for tuning high-end cars and this F12 Berlinetta is just a proof that they really know their job.
This particular F12 Berlinetta received new wheels, a few decorative pieces on the exterior that set it apart from the “normal” Berlinetta and a bumped up interior. However, that is just one part of this 14.999 € story. If you pay this much, PP Performance will up the engine by quite a bit. With a new stainless steel exhaust that gives better sound (and a few HP), PP Performance installs a new BMC air filter and tweak a ECU a bit.This way, 55 HP are extracted which makes this F12 Berlinetta one of the most impressive ones in the world. Even though the power is just slightly improved (now the F12 engine develops 795 HP and 730 Nm of torque), the 0-62 mph time dropped significantly. The PP F12 Berlinetta needs only 2,9 seconds to reach 62 mph, while 124 mph are cracked in only 8 seconds (half a second faster than the stock version).
