It is not every day two of the mightiest V8 powered cars get on the line. This time, the New Zealand cars.co.za bring us a race between a German superwagon and a British supercoupe. In one corner is the Audi RS6 Avant while the other contender is the Jaguar F-Type V8 Coupe R. The differences between the two are huge. While the Avant is the pinnacle of superwagon creation with all the turbochargers and launch control systems integrated deep within the heavy body, the Jag is a top notch sports car. It is lighter, but a tiny bit cruder compared with the Audi RS6 Avant. However, it has the ultimate V8 weapon with 555hp under the bonnet and all the power goes to the back.
While the quattro on the Audi RS6 Avant surely helps to bring this car into the supercar territory, the Jaguar F-Type V8 Coupe R is still a bit hard thing to swallow. That is why the race was so intense and unpredictable. Both cars had their own gains with the end being very, very close. It would seem that launch reaction is more important than the power of the engines or anything else as both cars were so close towards the end it seemed any one of them could win.
We suggest you to look at the race at least a few times and see who was the fastest.
