The Nissan GT-R R35 is one of cars which provide unlimited inspiration for tuners all around the world. Of course, many tried to make it better than ever before, but the boundary was pushed even further in the USA where the team behind the tuning company EKanoo Racing created a Nissan GT-R capable of reaching the top spot among the Drag racing Godzillas. We know for a fact that the AMS Alpha Omega GT-R was the fastest for some time over the quarter of a mile distance, but now the EKanoo Racing took on the record and shattered it in an awesome demonstration of power and top notch engineering.
Increasing the displacement volume to 4 liters by installing a new block (and increasing reliability apparently), EKanoo Racing had what it takes to create one of the most intense cars ever. Last year, in October, the car was rated at 2.276hp but now, its engine cranks out more to all four wheels. The video shows a record breaking run where the EKanoo Racing Nissan GT-R covered the drag strip in 7,44 seconds at 200 mph (amazingly, this is the same track they’ve unsuccessfully tested the IS F). Thus, it shattered the previous record which stood at 7,485 seconds. As you may imagine, the previous record was set forth by the AMS Alpha Omega. Now, it is their turn to knack the things up and release the fury of their machine.
Amazingly, this is not the last we will see from this car. Its 60-foot rollout time was not so good. If it gets it great the next time around, the record could be moved a bit again.
