As a Porsche test driver, Walter Röhrl has the opportunity to drive and to asses almost every car this famous German manufacturer develops and produces. In the latest video we can see him driving the latest of the road going track prepped monsters called the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. We have shown you before just how astonishing this car is on the track, but here, we can see cold blooded Walter Röhrl thundering down the Bilster Berg Track in the ultimate track prepped Porsche.
As a refresher, this new car received an all new four liter flat six naturally aspirated engine which can deliver mind boggling 500 HP. Remember, this engine is without a turbocharger, but with all the bells and whistles Porsche came up with in the last fifty years. That is why it has the best HP and torque curve of the all engines ever produced by this manufacturer and that is why it enables the mighty 911 GT3 RS to accelerate to 62 mph in 3,3 seconds. The power this thing produces is channeled to the rear wheels via specially adapted PDK transmission. The acceleration numbers are insane. 124 mph can be achieved in 10,9 seconds and the top speed is well above 190 mph.
These are the performance of a car by which Walter Röhrl dominates the Bilster Berg and set a competitive lap times even without trying too hard. And yes, this is just another day in the office for Walter Röhrl.
