It is happening! Volvo revealed their newest car and it is awesome. It is a bit strange that we find this car awesome as this is just a wagon version of already seen Volvo S90. However, Volvo wagons have always had some strange appeal due to their unconventional styling and utmost practicality. The new V90 is not any different. It is a winner. The main styling features and all of the design exercises shown by the concept cars from two years before were, more or less, incorporated into the final production version.
The Volvo V90 rear end design clearly draws inspiration from the 2014 concept Volvo Estate. The two-door concept car features rather exaggerated lines at the back, but the design team of the new V90 smartly incorporated them into the design by balancing on a thin line between subtle elegance and exaggeration. It seems that they’ve done a great job. Volvo V90 looks great, for a wagon that is. Although the style is important, the Volvo V90 had to have some real quality and entering the cabin is like going through a Stargate portal. Inside, the light leather, plush materials, nice touch screens and the best seats in the business create an aura of elegance, sophistication, and luxury. The back of it is a place where the magic happens since, with the rear seats down, boot capacity is at more than 53 cubic feet.
The Volvo V90 took everything from the S90, so there is nothing new in the power department or among the gizmos. The only thing worth mentioning is that this will probably be the first wagon with autonomous driving capability thanks to advanced Pilot Assist.
