Here’s one example of a pride from the land down under, it’s the 2011 Vauxhall Antara. Good news keeps on rolling with Vauxhall because despite its ultimate makeover this is a lot cheaper compared to the outgoing model. To be honest, it makes no sense that this is a lot more discounted that the previous model but for all I know, this is something that is better in every angle.
The Antara has that strong muscular stance that is complemented by its 19 inch alloy wheels, a redefined front grill, new fog lights and a modified rear embellishment. The engine has also been changed to be Euro 5 compliant, which means that it has reduced emissions with top notch fuel consumption.
The heart of this beast is a new turbo diesel 2.2 CDTI engine that comes as a front wheel drive version which is be paired to a six speed manual transmission or an all wheel drive version mated to a six speed manual or a six speed automatic. This can breathe either at 161 bhp or a more powerful 181 bhp.
The interior received a new center console and a wider storage space. New tech was also integrated and it now has hill assist, electric parking brake and a gear shift indicator.
Sometimes its really good to hear that better things can come cheaper and Vauxhall made a mark on this in the auto industry.
