OK, what is the Aventador built out of!? This is a drag race between the Lamborghini Aventador LP-700-4 and the Audi RS6 Avant. Both cars are fast, both are extremely powerful, but the difference on the track between the two is almost inconceivable. Bear in mind that the Audi RS6 Avant is one of the most powerful Wagons of all time. It has the power of more than 550hp, Quattro all wheel drive, insane tech features such as launch control and despite all the gear under the belt, it is still simply disseminated by the Aventador. How is it possible that such a fast car, which the RS6 Avant definitely is, lacks so much speed and power next to the Lamborghini Aventador.
OK, the Aventador is 100hp+ more powerful, but there has to be more to it than that. And there is. Weight is the key here. While the Aventador tips the scales at 3,472 lbs, the Audi RS6 Avant is 4,266 lbs heavy monster. That is a hell of a difference. Furthermore, the aerodynamics are definitely more in favour of the Aventador and the transmission, suspension and throttle response of its naturally aspirated V12 are set up only for furious acceleration and not for a sensible drive. The results are obvious. While we have to stress that the RS6 Avant is insanely fast and invigorating, the Lamborghini Aventador is from another planet.
Enjoy the race between the cars created by the Volkswagen Group. Although they do have some similarities, the end result is quite incredible.
