How to wash a car!? Easy you may think, but when you are dealing with a classic supercar, like the Countach you see on the picture, you have to invest far more time, effort and knowledge to make it all as it should be. Detailing is a cleaning process that goes far beyond the usual car wash. It makes all the small imperfections on the surface disappear and the process includes washing the engine bay, the underside of the car and the suspension. Sure, the interior is part of the process too. The guy who detailed the Countach did a fabulous job in bringing back that new car feel to it. He used all the best components and all the best detailing techniques. The result is a car with a fantastic look and, as pointed out, ready for the Concours d’Elegance competition.
What is awesome is the fact that any owner of a supercar can hire a professional detailer and let him do his thing with their prized possession. In this case, we are dealing with a 1987 Lamborghini Countach QV owned by Harry Metcalfe, the Evo magazine’s founder. He is well known for his love of cars and this V12 supercar is only one of his prized possessions. The guy he hired worked before on many supercars, including Lamborghinis.
The process he went through includes paint correction, waxing, clay removal and the like.
