This is a proper generational clash. The Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 races the Ferrari 458 Italia. OK, these are not exactly in the same ballpark regarding anything really. One is a large V12 powered monster with an all-wheel drive setup, while the other is a bit smaller, lighter RWD beast with four cylinders less. However, one spruced to life (in its purest form) a whole lot of time ago (2001), while the 458 Italia come eight years after. So, why is it cool to have them both on the drag strip!? If you did not notice, these are all Italian supercars and having them on the drag strip is always a good thing. First of, we have to talk about the sound. Formula 1 engineers should come here, listen, figure out how to make this kind of awesomeness and get back to drawing boards trying to give the F1 cars this kind of sound. Would it be possible? Maybe.
The Murcielago racing here is one of the last ones produced. It has the most powerful engine ever put in a Murcielago, it has an all tricked out tranny, all wheel drive and launch control, and, most importantly, it has almost 70 hp more than the Ferrari.
On the other hand, with an eight-cylinder engine, the Ferrari 458 Italia is a monstrous machine with less weight compared to Murcielago. However, can it stack up against one of the most capable supercars ever!? Press play and enjoy the fight between the screaming Italian monsters. And yes, if you really are in a mood to immerse yourself completely, enjoy the second 360-degree video filmed inside the Lamborghini Murcielago. It will give a rather strange perspective of the intense race in which the winner is not actually that important at all.
