We live in a time when hot-hatches rule the streets. They have grown up from the slightly faster civil cars to monster machines capable of competing with Porsches, Jags and fast Audis. A lot of them road the roads – everything from the Audi RS3 Sportback to the Volkswagen Golf R. Trying to find out which one is the best is quite hard, but we may have found the answer in this Auto Trader video. The guys put every hot-hatch on the track and compared them in depth. What do we have here then? Picture this: Honda Civic Type-R, Audi RS3, Mercedes-AMG A45, Volkswagen Golf R, Renault Sport Megane 275 Cup-S, Peugeot 308 GTI 270, BMW 135i, Subaru Impreza WRX STI, and the car we all like – the Ford Focus RS.
This is a long video – 35 minutes, but definitely worth watching as some of the best hot-hatch cars out there are put against one another. This is the biggest hot-hatch comparison video of all time and the cars that are about to be pitted all have some insane power levels. The least powerful is actually Peugeot 308 GTi with its small 1.6-liter engine delivering 270hp. On the other end of the spectrum is the Mercedes-AMG A45 with an insane two liter engine that gives out astonishing 381 hp. Everything in between is simply pornography.
