Mazda created one of the most popular cabriolets of all times and it’s the MX-5. This is one magnificent creation and Mazda was made infamous with this car because of its attentiveness to detail and lightweight specifications. The only problem that the MX-5 had was muscle under the hood.
It is almost at the last end of its competition when it comes to power but worry not because BBR in joint efforts with Cosworth Engineering released a more monstrous version of the 2.0 liter Mk3 Mazda MX-5.
The BBR Supercharged Mazda MX-5 can now spit a colossal 235 bhp with a hefty 190 lb ft of torque. This is a giant leap from its stock engine that only produces a still respectable 158 bhp with 139 lb ft of torque. To juice out power from the engine, they used a 4th generation Eaton MP62 supercharger which comes with an integral manifold system designed by Cosworth.
The upgrade also includes a revised intercooler, high flow air box with high flow air filter, a 2010 BBR Auxiliary Interceptor ECU system, Competition high grade hoses and fixings and BBR-Cosworth indentification Badges.
