We learned before that the Tesla Model X is a badass car. In its top notch iteration – the P90D, it has so much power that many supercars falls short in a race against it. It already proved that cars coming from Italy are not exactly capable of beating it. Remember its fight against the Alfa Romeo 4C? Look at it here, the P90X won a drag race against the 4C while towing another 4C on a trailer.
Now, the other Italian is up for a fight – the Ferrari F430. True, this is an old car – but not older than 10 years and it has an engine almost touching 500hp. The results here suggest that the Model X is simply as ludicrous as the name of its most berserk mode one can select on the display.
Almost 800hp pushing all the power to all four wheels are hard to argue with. The official 0-62 mph is 3.2 mph and the top speed is at “sensible” 155mph.
Racing with the Ferrari F430 seems a bit incredible, and even sad. We all grew up thinking that Ferrari is the best there is – the fastest, the most amazing, the most advanced, but then a 5.300 lbs SUV comes and kills it off like it were a bug.
Ferrari, on the other hand, would kill it on the long straight because it actually can hit 193 mph. Also, the Ferrari is a curve seeking machine, so while the Model X will make some great things on the straight, the Ferrari will make up for it all in the curves. Nevertheless, the Tesla Model X is incredible, amazing, awesome and everything.
