Tesla Model 3 is revealed, it is hot and people love it although none of them actually drove it. However, do not think for a second that we grew out of the Tesla Model S. Hell no. This video of the Tesla Model S racing with an airplane proves it. In this case, the fastest and most astonishing 791hp powerful Tesla races against the Boeing 737 from Qantas, Australia.
Why is the obvious question!? Well, why not!? Tesla Model S P90D lined up with the Qantas Boeing at the Avalon airport in Melbourne and the race began. As expected, the smaller, lighter, but hugely powerful Tesla made an acceleration run to 62 mph in around three seconds and it definitely trashed the plane in that regard. However, while the Tesla was busy trying to reach its top speed of 155 mph, the Boeing slowly started catching up. Inevitably, in about the same time as the Tesla reached its top speed of 155 mph, the Boeing started to take off at 159 mph.
All in all, Qantas and Tesla Motors partnered some time ago and this race actually was a part of the promotional campaign of the partnership. Thanks to it, Tesla will install charging stations on the airports in Australia while Tesla car owners will get some kind of benefits if they become Qantas Club members. All in all, we have another reason to celebrate Tesla and their efforts to make electric cars feasible and usable in the long run. People really love them.
