The Tesla Model S P85D made a childsplay out of the Hellcat, the Ferrari 458 Italia and many other sports and not so sports cars. Now, the time has come to compare the Insane mode of this Tesla car with the Lamborghini Aventador. Yes, this is the battle of the fastest of the electric cars with one of the fastest petrol powered cars. A bit less than 1.400 HP is online here and both cars are starting with their launch control turned on.
After first few feets the Tesla Model S P85D (here you can see how sensational it is) made a jump and went in front of the Lamborghini Aventador. That was possible thanks to the immense torque available from the go. However, 6,5 liter V12 in Lamborghini channels its power to the four wheels and launches the car to 62 mph in less than 3 seconds. The results are obvious. The Lamborghini Aventador is faster accelerating car than the Tesla Model S P85D, but that doesn’t have to outrage the owners of the Tesla. After all they have a car that can seat seven and cover many miles for just a few bucks.
Even though Tesla lost this game the fact is that it did not lose badly. The next gen model will be faster and than we have to ask ourselves when the dominance of the petrol powered sports cars will end! We reckon soon.
