Porsche 911 GT3 RS is an insane car. It is, arguably, the best street legal car which can provide racecar-like performance on the track. That really is the main concept behind the car packed with tech and freed of all unnecessary equipment. Fantastic aerodynamics, lightweight design, perfectly executed suspension and rear wheel drive give the GT3 RS the demeanor of a proper supercar. Although we have never thought of the 911 as the ultimate supercar, it really has the power to give us the thrills of supercars such as the McLaren 650S or the Ferrari 488 GTB.
Here, it proves its speed by competing with the none other than Nissan GT-R.
As we all know the Nissan GT-R is considered a poor man’s supercar and it really has the power and the might to shatter some supercar dreams. However, it cannot actually go against a Porsche powered by a naturally aspirated four-liter engine which churns out somewhere around 500hp. It is astonishing how well does the Porsche transmission work and how its rear tires can provide acceleration time of 3 seconds to 62 mph, which is actually better than that what the Nissan GT-R can do. Apparently, the GT-R could not do anything better than 3,4 seconds although its specs suggest it should do it around three. That shows in a drag race a lot. Porsche was so much faster that we are left amazed by its performance. True, Porsche is more than 600 lbs lighter than the comparable GT-R, but the GT-R goes with a turbocharged engine and awesome four wheel drive. It would be an honour to see these two in a race on the track. Imagine that.
