Hyundai together with Rhys Millen Racing have collaborated to produce once staggering monster. They unleashed from their garage doors one true performer and they showed to car freaks their very own rally car. This was based on the Veloster Coupe pulled the wraps off at the Chicago Auto Show.
This Veloster was totally modified from the ground up and features a race spec interior, stitch welded chassis and a custom made suspension. This is fitted with carbon kevlar body panels which allow this rally car to just weigh 2,656 pounds or equivalent to 1,205 kg. This will stand on an 18 inch HRE wheels wrapped with Hankook tires.
A total of three monsters wil be created that are scheduled to compete in the U.S. Rallycross Championship-2WD and AWD. They will also be a part of the well-known Summer X Games.
For the most Drooling part…The heart of the Veloster Rally Coupe is a four cylinder engine turbocharged to madness. This is paired to an Xtrac six speed sequential transmission and will permit this rally car to spit an astonishing 500bhp with 600 lb ft of torque.
They are ready and set to be on the tracks. Hopefully Hyundai can already earn a spot in the field of high performance sports.
