Tesla Model S P90D is crazy fast. But it is not as fast as the hypercars.It cannot be.They are on a whole different level. However, there is a car out there that can outstrip even the hypercars and it is an electric car. Called the Rimac Concept_One, Croatian electric Hypercar is the only nemesis a hypercar trio can face. To prove this, Archie Hamilton went to Croatia with the Tesla Model S, found a Ferrari LaFerrari, drove to the track and asked Mate Rimac, the CEO of the Rimac Automotive to have a drag race against his car.
These are the results. First of was the fight between the Tesla Model S P90D. You know, that car that kills off everything in a drag race. After smashing it in a drag race like it is a toy, Archi sat in the Ferrari LaFerrari – the fastest prancing horse car that ever was. What happened after is rather incredible. Despite all the 950hp, launch control system, and the best car industry can offer, the new Rimac Concept_One (seven of which were produced) took off faster and kept the lead till the end.
Now, let us stress that Rimac Automobili somehow managed to figure out how to cool electric engines and wiring letting the car hit far more than 155 mph (Tesla Model S P90D top speed). Rimac Concept_One can easily hit fantastic 220 mph.
Now, to make this thing faster than the mighty Ferrari LaFerrari, Rimac integrated four emotors. Every one of them powers only one wheel and they churn out – in total – 1.088 hp. Also, massive batteries inside allegedly provide enough juice for 130 miles. Just how brutal wrenching this car is best shown in the video where the 2-ton car accelerates even faster than the Ferrari LaFerrari. Rimac Automobili builds batteries and electric components for car systems. And after all these insane speeds, we may hear about them building a couple of more of these Concept_One cars.
