What does it take to put a Formula 1 car on a ski slope!? Red Bull did just that by letting Max Verstappen drive really fast uphill on the ski slope in his 2011 Red Bull RB7 F1 car. Bear in mind, these machines are built for the perfectly flat terrains of world’s best tracks and prepping one for the ski-slope attack is far from an easy task. Regardless, this onboard video shows in great details how can an F1 car with snow chains on the tires hurtle up the track.
Now, it was not possible to go super fast due to limitations of the car and the rather severe conditions on the track, but Verstappen still did an amazing job of keeping control of the 800+hp car in situations which are near absurdity. Going up the track and getting back down lasted for less than a minute, but the Formula 1 car endured all the incredible efforts in order to excite the crowds who looked in disbelief at all the incredible donuts, uphill drives and listened to the sounds of the Red Bull car.
Everything took place during the Snow Demo show at Hahnenkamm, Kitzbühel (Austria) – literally one of the best places for skiing. Not only did Red Bull make an epic entry at the track, but a promotion like this certainly gives Red Bull their wings. They have made similar efforts in the past and got F1 cars to drive in some of the most incredible places, but we still remember that it was Red Bull who released one of the first videos with a 360-degree view on Youtube.
