Koenigsegg has produced 130 cars since it started its operations 22 years ago (they actually started to produce cars 14 years ago). Not a lot you may think, but bear in mind that Koenigsegg cars are highly prized collectibles and owning one more or less makes one a part of a very special club. Now, for the first time ever, Koenigsegg hosted an Owner’s Tour and there more than 10 percent of Koenigseggs ever produced appeared. 15 owners brought their cars for a multi-day parade which started in Copenhagen, Denmark and finished at the automaker’s factory in Angelholm, Sweden. Speaking about exclusivity – it does not get much better than this.
Apart from showcasing Ageras, CCX, and other amazing Koenigsegg cars, Christian von Koenigsegg, CEO of the company, actually brought his latest hypercar – the Regera. Interestingly, Scandinavian car enthusiasts had a chance to see the cars first hand. All of them were displayed and exhibited more than once during the voyage. Anyone interested could simply get in, check out a thing or two about them, take a selfie and enjoy a great time. As we have seen before, Christian is a proper car guy and a rather cool man to hang out with. What is more important than all of that was the high-speed ride any owner could experience on the closed airstrip. Unfortunately, it was raining and the airstrip was soaked with water, but Koenigsegg drivers weren’t afraid.
This emotional story was captured nicely in this short video. The scenery is epic, the cars almost incredible and the whole spirit about the whole thing is something only proper gearheads could understand. This is the start of yet another Koenigsegg story. This is the start of a new success.
