Fiat has been known to be an all around city driving car. It’s really not known for its performance, agility or power. Novitec , after tuning the Ferrari and the Maserati, thought that it will be a wise idea to give this boring little car more excitement. This tuning company’s idea is worth listening to since they made a more aggressive little car that can put a smile on your face when put the throttle to the floor.
The little Fiat that they laid their hands on is the Punto Evo and its stock engine only produces a meager 135 bhp with 206 Nm of torque. With the help of Novitec, the heart of the petrol powered Fiat Punto Evo was modified. The 1.4 liter 16V MultiAir turbo charged engine now churns 160 bhp with 246 Nm of torque. Top speed is already at 209 km/h and can run from 0-100 km/h in a dignified 7.9 seconds, not bad at all coming from a small car.
The secret from the new power output is Novitec’s Power Jet 2 Auxiliary control unit. For all the diesel powered Punto Evo, Novitec built a special Powerrail 5 module and the 16V 1.6 liter MultiJet engine can now give out 144 bhp with 356 Nm of torque.
Novitec is a genius and made this hatchback more fun to drive.
