It is not easy to find nine supercars to compare or make a review. You either need a lot of rich friends, or you need to be really rich, or, as the last thing, you need to be a media mogul (not a mogul but a nice influence at least). TheSupercardriver YouTube channel is the latter and they published a video only days ago about the fascinating supercar comparison. Meet the crew: Aston Martin GT12, Ferrari F12, Lamborghini Aventador SV, Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4, McLaren 570S, McLaren 675LT, Mercedes-AMG GT S, Porsche 911 GT3 RS and the hypercar 918 Spyder. They are all here and if our math is correct they put down close to 5,900hp.
TheSupercardriver made a sort of a drag racing cup-thing. They compared cars similar in power and size, but the most impressive were the McLarens. They were dominant on most of the races. Thanks to lightweight design even the least powerful one – the 570S made a controversial win. It destroyed the mighty Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 in a race. This is a big deal as the Huracan is still one of the quickest supercars.
One mile airfield in the UK definitely proved to be a fantastic place for testing supercars. The last race was between the insanely fast McLaren 675LT and the royalty – the Porsche 918 Spyder. This really is the first time we can see what Porsche did with the 918 Spyder. This is a weapon and we are not even sure how it is legal to drive it on roads. It destroyed the McLaren 675LT as if it were a GTI or something. Astonishing.
