It seems that Top Gear is on a good start after all. It may well be that all the flops we have seen so far are just an elaborate media stunt to confuse us and to make a whole lot of hype before the show starts airing. The latest in the series of flops is Ken Block drifting his awesome custom built all wheel drive Mustang in London over the Tower bridge. It seems that many people have not been enthusiastic about Ken Block and Matt LeBlanc hooning the ‘Stang over the Tower Bridge.
The team was allowed to shoot in the London centre but only driving at tedious 20 mph. Can a ‘Stang skid at 20 mph!? Well, it seems it can as this video quite nicely shows Ken Block slowly driving a car and then making a sharp right turn drifting in the process. Besides the drifting job, we have a video apparently showing Ken Block and Matt LeBlanc hooning the Mustang in front of a wedding ceremony. Yes, this may be staged, but who really cares. Some already reported that Top Gear and Ken Block ruined a wedding, but if nothing they have improved it.
As for now, Top Gear is getting a lot of media attention and that really is an important piece of social media machinery which can make or break the show that has some rather nice people all around it.
The newest piece of news actually confirm that Netflix could host the Top Gear via its video service, but we are not yet fully convinced this will happen. If it does, the Amazon show our favourite three chaps are working on will have some stiff competition.
