What will happen with the Formula 1 in the future? Would it exist, how will it change and what cars will look like!? Well, the answer comes from the only logical place – an F1 car manufacturer – McLaren. The car you will see in the video is the McLaren MP4-X Concept – a closed cockpit Formula 1 of the future which offers more than what meets the eye.
Get this! McLaren technicians decided to integrate a hybrid drive in the car, with induction wireless charging and active aerodynamics. With all this in place, the MP4-X would apparently drive the hell out of any track. According to some visionaries, the track will have the hardware to transfer power to cars (via that wireless tech) and after that the sky is the limit basically.
However, the most amazing thing about this is something scary similar to that Chinese Brain-controlled car. The MP4-X Concept actually has the same option; the driver would be able to steer the car by thinking so that wheel you see inside could be just for fun.
Of course, we cannot expect all these gizmos to hit F1 cars, but the path is definitely laid out. There is a great possibility that we will get closed cockpit cars with more electric power, better efficiency, even better acceleration and speeds higher than those we are used to today.
