News had been going on for months about the revival of the infamous Lancia Stratos. This was an icon in the rally world in the 70’s and still continues to entice the hearts of car fanatics. Specs have already been released and new pictures have been made public to show what retro beauty this sports car has. The Stratos’ looks is still competitive compared to new beasts that are being released today and has true cutthroat power under the hood.
The new Stratos uses a shortened chassis of a Ferrari F430 Scuderia and to lessen weight this car boasts a full carbon fiber body. Total weight of this car is 1247 kg or 2749 lbs with a weight distribution of 44:56 ratio.
The heart of this sports car is a 4.3 liter V8 engine that produces a colossal 533 bhp with 369 lb ft of torque and this is achieved by using a high performance exhaust system with a revised ECU system. The engine is paired to a six speed sequential gearbox that can let the Stratos blast from 0-100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds and reaches 200 km/h in 9.7 seconds. Top speed is set at a whopping 274 km/h.
And the numbers says it all…this is what to expect from one awesome revival!
