Koenigsegg is back with a vengeance producing an all new exotic car ready to haunt us in our dreams…the 2011 Koenigsegg Agera. The Agera has the looks as any other exotic car that koenigsegg has on its garage but they claim that their concept CC design, which was created 15 years ago, is still competitive and fresh. Koeniggsegg said that the Agera is now focused to a new driving experience, pushing innovations on cornering speed, adaptability, braking and handling. True to their words, the Agera is definitely a head turner and a totally different beast.
This supercar features a new technology when it comes to interior lighting, they call it as Ghost Light where they use nanotube technology which provides good visibility of symbols and sleek styling. The body and interior components are made up of light materials from aluminum alloy, Kevlar to carbon fiber trims and even the center console up to the transmission tunnel is made up of carbon fiber and this is to achieve astounding weight efficiency.
The Agera is powered by the same engine as the CCX, a 4.7 liter V8 engine but with a revised air flow with twin turbo chargers. This engine can produce a colossal 910 bhp with 812 lb ft of torque and can blast from 0-62 mph in just 3.1 seconds. The Agera is truly a different car that still has that unspeakable beauty.
