As oil prices continues to soar, hybrid cars came into play giving an astounding fuel efficiency rating with low CO2 emissions. This gave rise to a new car segment and Jaguar made sure that they will never be left out in this market. Jaguar jumped into the bandwagon last year when they debuted the C X75 Hybrid Supercar Concept at the Paris Motor Show and they have now confirmed that this beast will go into production.
CO2 emission of the C X75 will just be lesser than 99 g/km which can actually compete with the toughest rivals in the league of other supercars.
The powertrain of this new masterpiece is said to be a downsized, highly boosted petrol engine which is backed up by two electric motors. Specific details are still not released by this car maker but we will surely expect madness out of their garage doors.
While looking at the concept car, they actually used 4 195 bhp electric motors assisted by 2 small turbine engines.
Jaguar still promises pure performance and said that 0-60 mph of the production C X75 will be reached under 3 seconds and offer an all electric mode with a range of more than 31 miles 50 km on a single charge.
They have also collaborated with Williams F1 for their expertise in hybrid technologies, aerodynamics and carbon engineering. Only 250 units of this magnificence will be built and with a price tag that ranges from L700,000 to L900,000.
