Ford also showed their muscle on the 2010 Paris Motor Show as they unveiled the Ford Fiesta RS World Rally Car. This will compete on the 2011 FIA World Rally Championship and will make its debut competition in Sweden in February of 2011.
This Rally car was based on the Ford Fiesta 2000 rally car. This was the infamous model which won the grand Monte Carlo Rally last January. M-Sport and Ford’s Europe design team have collaborated to produce this beast, from its sleek aerodynamic body up to the fine tuning of the engine.
This Ford rally car is run by a 1.6 liter turbocharged engine that will power its four wheels simultaneously and applies this car company’s all new EcoBoost system. French tuner Pipo Moteur also brought their expertise to add magnificence to the engine.
This rally car breathes 300 bhp and will continue to run its test in Spain. This already completed 3000 kilometers of testing in France and Britain and this will be driven by BP Ford Abu Dhabi World Rally team composed of Jarmo Lehtinen and Mikko Hirvonen with teammates Miikka Anttila and Jari-Matti Latvala.
