Do you know what is this? It is a Ferrari F430 race car with twin turbo setup and power that greatly exceeds the stock power levels of the naturally aspirated V8 Ferrari used for the F430.
As we have learned, this particular car is owned by a media mogul and Swiss billionaire Jürg Marquard who wanted something truly special and unique for his Ferrari collection. Integrating twin turbocharger setup on a car so ferociously linked with the naturally aspirated engine definitely unsettled some of the purists, but we have to be honest and say that the Ferrari turbocharged engines give the most power you can imagine. Just remember the astonishing F40 which had a turbocharged engine. Now, the 488 GTB and California T are hooning around with turbocharged engines which goes to show that the Turbo V8s are the way to go for the Prancing Horse.
The car depicted in the video is an all time great, but we really are not sure how much power does it produce. It may well be that the engine inside gets more than 600hp at the wheels, but the real highlight of it all is it’s awesome sound. This is how every and any turbocharged car of today should sound!
Why don’t they? Well, probably because of some restrictions and regulations that forbid the cars to produce sounds above certain levels. That and emissions.
