Ferrari race cars are awesome – fast, they sound epic and feel like gods of cars. However, what is it like to drive a race car on public streets? Doug DeMuro is here to test this for us. He left Jalopnik only weeks ago, but his YouTube channel is still going strong. The result is a channel with almost 170,000 subscribers and this time he shows us all the prospects of driving a race car – the Ferrari F4330 Challenge on the city streets.
As you may imagine, race cars have a lot of different features compared with the “normal” cars. For the start, forget about all the luxury amenities – this is a big deal when you are actually used to the things like electric windows, Air conditioning, carpets, or even having a key. This Ferrari F430 Challenge does not have any of these, but it has a roll cage, small openings in the plexiglass windows, fuel filler on both sides and air jack system front and back.
Doug DeMuro drove the car trying to enjoy it, but then the bumps and the humps on the road got unbearable. So much so, that the “bum” started to hurt a bit. And then there is getting in and getting out of a car. It is hard, especially for a large guy.
True, Doug said it is crazy fast and brutal, but without the speedo, it is hard to know how fast it goes.
