Here, Muhammad Ali fights Muhammad Ali, Maria Sharapova fights her other version, while Magnus Carlsen plays chess against himself. In the minute long commercial the narrator said a massively important sentence – “Greatness comes from within, from pitting you against you”. And that really is the whole story about success, motivation, self reliance and self esteem. Porsche made this commercial perfectly and thus it linked its name with ordinary people more than ever before.
Honestly, it is amazing – is motivates, connects with the audience and transfers an extremely powerful message, all of which in a car commercial that last for a minute.
Porsche actually gave us the motivation, the courage and the strength to beat ourselves and to beat the world. The last sentence here – “Introducing the new Porsche 911 – the only car that can beat the 911” is the punchline that can hardly be topped.
