Fast and Furious 8 is the first Hollywood movie ever to be allowed to shoot in Cuba. This is obviously the start of something special and we can expect many interesting movies coming from Cuba in the future. For now, though, we will focus on cars and Vin Diesel, surprise, surprise is the one who walks us through this short video and shows us just how cool Cuban car scene really is. Vin Diesel and the team will race on the streets of Havana showing the whole world where to come on a vacation next year. Joke, joke! We meant – showing just how fast their cars are for all sorts of incredible stuff that they will do in the eight installations of the movie.
What about the cars!? Old American cars that roam all over Cuba will be featured in the movie, but we have to point out that the main action will actually take place in New York. Nevertheless, the part viewers will definitely be most excited about is seeing Cuba in the movie and seeing all the car gearheads drive. Watching them on the big screen is a rather special privilege. Oldsmobile to Chevrolet, Buick to Ford, Dodge to Plymouth – everything is on the streets, but the fact is that the majority of the vehicles is actually in appalling condition. They deteriorated over the years and the only thing that keeps them going is the ingenuity of Cuban service technicians. Nevertheless, this is a country where even the most outstanding creations of the American automotive industry have their own place under the sun and we are all invited to see them when the Fast 8 comes in cinema in 2017.
