Cadillac has made one performance monster out of the CTS V. Testing of this all new racing coupe has finally wrapped up and this is ready to be set loose at the Sports Car Club of America World Challenge GT series. This will be driven by racing champs Johnny O’Connell and Andy Pilgrim.
For those who do not know O’Connell, he is the three time GT1 winner of the America Le Mans Series and Pilgrim also has his fare share of victory as he won at the SCCA World Challenge GT class in 2005.
This Cadillac was actually tuned 21 bhp down and its supercharged V8 engine with a displacement of 6.2 liter will now produce 535 bhp. Nonetheless this is still a performer on the tracks because this is 1,000 lbs or 454 kg lighter than the production car. This was achieved through its aerodynamic carbon fiber body and by removing all unnecessary amenities of the stock car.
This competition is another milestone yet to be achieved by Cadillac. Though they are not notorious in producing super cars, they can surely change people this luxury car manufacturer with the CTS V Racing Coupe.
